JUNIOR HANDLING
The ASCA Junior Program is one of the brightest stars in all of ASCAs programs. ASCA offers young Aussie fanciers the unique opportunity to compete on Regional and National Levels. Juniors compete in Handling, Obedience, Herding and Agility. Juniors accumulate points thru the year to earn year end awards and National Recognition.
ASCA knows that the future of our great breed rests with the Jrs of today. Membership to Jr members is at no charge. It is a sure sign of a great program when you have this much Jr participation. The Jr committee is always working on finding ways to make sure the Jrs Stars shine bright. The National Specialty showcases the top Junior Handlers in the Nation , not only in handling but obedience, agility and herding. The Jr Service Award is announced at the Banquet, another bright spot for our Jrs. ASCA pays for the All Around Junior to attend the National Specialty. The top handlers with 500pts or more at the end of the ASCA year receive a Jacket welcoming them to the 500 Club. Regional awards go to the top Jrs in Herding, Obedience and Handling. Just watching the Juniors in these programs proves what a wonderful companion the Australian Shepherd is and what a bright future ASCA has. |
